This weekend Delray Beach officers are patrolling the area of Pompey Park due to reports of a violent family feud.

Monday, an innocent bystander was reportedly shot in the midst of the alleged feud.

Police say a victim who was not the intended target, identified as a young man named Patrick, was seriously hurt.

Additionally, police say that the shooting is the latest in a nearly decade-long conflict between two families in Delray Beach.

According to reports, total of 47 violent incidents in the ongoing rivalry.

However, no arrests have been made at this time.

Police say spat between the families began at a nightclub in another town, possibly over a girl, according to CBS12.
