Teen Couple Accused of Planning to Kill Parents

A teen couple from Oklahoma are now behind bars after they allegedly plotted and attempted to go through with the murder of several of the girlfriend’s family members who refused to let the two get married.

According to the report, 18-year-old Zachary Sligar and the 15-year-old girl whose name was not released due to her age plotted to kill the girl’s mother, father, and her older sister.

“They came up with a plan to do a three-way homicide by killing mom, dad and an older sister that lives on the property,” Lincoln County Sheriff Charlie Dougherty told KACB. “That was their plan, to kill those three and move along with life.”

On July 19th Sligar brought a gun to the family’s residences and fired at his girlfriend’s father identified as Sherman Crneckiy, and her mother Beverly Crneckiy who were asleep at the time.

Sherman Crneckiy narrowly escaped being injured, however, his wife Beverly was stuck with a bullet in her face and in her hand.  Sligar then began having issues with the gun and that’s when his girlfriend told him to leave and she would come up with a story.

Beverly was taken to the hospital where she remains in critical condition.

The daughter was taken into custody at the scene while Sligar was located later and taken into custody.

The couple faces several charges including attempted murder and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

They are expected to appear in court on July 30th.
